Start with a better question

Turn a broad SEO question into a focused analysis you can act on.

Start with a better question

Start with a decision

A useful search analysis begins with a decision. Instead of asking for every metric, try asking which pages deserve attention this week. Name the decision you want to make, the part of your site you want to investigate, and the evidence that would help you choose.

Set the scope

Choose one property and a consistent time period. If you are looking at a specific country, device, or group of pages, include that in your question. A narrower scope makes it easier to understand which results belong in the comparison and which do not.

Ask for evidence

Ask your AI to show the pages, queries, and metrics behind each suggestion. For example: ‘Compare the last two complete 28-day periods for this property. Which pages lost clicks, and what changed in their impressions and average position?’ Treat the answer as a starting point for investigation.

Choose the next step

Pick one finding and inspect the underlying data before making a change. Write down what you expect the change to achieve and when you will review it. Save the question so that your next analysis starts with the same scope.
